— A Milestone as the First Supplier Award in Hyosung’s 25-Year North American History

Sam Dong has been awarded the “Partnership Excellence” Award at a ceremony hosted by Hyosung. This recognition carries special significance as it marks the first supplier award Hyosung has presented in North America since launching its operations in the region 25 years ago.

The ceremony was held in conjunction with Hyosung’s official announcement of an additional $157 million (approximately KRW 210 billion) investment in its Memphis transformer facility. This new investment will expand the plant’s production capacity by approximately 50%, a strategic move aimed at meeting the growing demands of the North American power infrastructure market.

During the event, Jason Neal, President of Hyosung HICO, emphasized to our Tennessee GM Karl and our leadership team that “this award presented to Sam Dong is the first-ever supplier award since Hyosung entered the North American market and is a symbolic result showing how important our partnership is.”

This achievement reflects Sam Dong’s continued supply stability, strong quality competitiveness, and strategic collaboration with Hyosung. It is expected to further strengthen our strategic partnership going forward.
